Weddings at Timberwood
Congratulations on your engagement! At Timberwood Church we want to be as helpful as possible in preparing and making your wedding day special. Please read below the requirements for being married at Timberwood Church along with an explanation of the premarital counseling. We see this as an ongoing relationship for all involved. We're excited to be a part of what God is doing in your lives.
1. Membership or active participation for at least 6 months prior to the wedding (regular attendance is recorded from the information cards that are filled out on Sunday mornings).
2. Complete Premarital Counseling (See description below).
3. Meeting with the Pastor and reserving of the building at least 6 months in advance of the wedding date.
Premarital Counseling involves an initial meeting with a pastor and completion of the PREPARE/ENRICH Inventory ($50). The premarital meetings will begin 3 months prior to the wedding. The PREPARE/ENRICH Inventory is a tool designed to help you learn more about yourself, your partner, and your relationship. You will be able to take the inventory individually online and it will take about one hour to complete. The officiating pastor will use the PREPARE/ENRICH Inventory as the basis for at least four additional meetings designed to provide guidance and counseling for your relationship.
The cost to use the facility for a wedding is $1,000. This price is for the use of either the Gathering Space or Worship Center, one room for the bridesmaids, one room for the groomsmen, restrooms, set-up, sound tech, and cleaning. Chairs must be rented for outside weddings. All weddings on Saturday's must be completed by 3:00 p.m. to provide time for cleaning and resetting for Sunday Morning. This cost does not include honorarium for the pastor or musicians.
If you have additional questions, please contact Pastor Eric Holst.
