Meet the Staff at Timberwood Church:
Abby Ahlberg
Abby is currently the intern here at Timberwood Church. She grew up in the area and has returned after pursuing higher education. Abby is a recent graduate from Biola University in La Mirada, CA with a degree in Christian Education and an emphasis in youth ministry. She enjoys hanging with her family and friends, reading, playing golf, taking pictures and the outdoors. Abby has a heart for people as well as the local church and is excited to be a part of what God is doing in and through Timberwood.
Alisa Den Hartog
Alisa is the administrative assistant here at Timberwood Church, has been attending since June of 2004 and working here since December of 2006. Alisa loves being a part of the wonderful things God is doing at Timberwood. She also enjoys the interaction she gets with so many different people no matter where they are at in life.
Alisa grew up in a small town in Iowa but moved to Minnesota with her husband Jamie in the spring of 2004. They met at Dordt College where they both attended. There she earned a degree in Graphic Design and Recreation. In April of 2008 Jamie and Alisa welcomed their first child into their home. She has brought tremendous joy into their lives and they love watching her grow and see her little personality develop! In her spare time Alisa enjoys playing volleyball, golf, and spending time with friends and family.
Katie Embree
Katie is the Children's Ministry Coordinator and has been working with the children and families of Timberwood Church since July 2005. She ha a passion to take the word of God and mike it come alive in the hearts of children! Katie desires for children to know Jesus, grow in their relationship with Him, and share His love with others.
Katie and her husband Brent live in Pequot Lakes with their three children Ashley, Carter, and Sarae.
Katie has been part of the Wooddale Church Family since the early 90's. In 1995 she had the experience of being a charter member of one of Wooddale's daughter churches; Westwood Community Church, where she was an active part of the Children's Ministries for several years. She also enjoyed a variety of leadership roles in MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers. In 2004 her family moved to the beautiful Brainerd Lakes area. On a cool September afternoon Katie and her children were enjoying happy meals at McDonald's when a woman in the next booth started a conversation with her about a new church plan ot Wooddale Church in the Nisswa area. The Embree family visited Timberwood that Sunday and have been an active part ever since!

Eric Holst
Eric is the newest member of the Timberwood staff hailing from Yankton, SD via the Twin Cities. He graduated from the University of Sioux Falls with a Religious Studies degree in 2002 and spent time in a varitey of ministries across the country before tackling seminary in 2006. Eric has a zeal for life and a wide variety of interests from decorating cakes to running, from roasting coffee to downhill skiing. He loves being on the water whether it be skiing, fishing, or sailing. Eric loves spending time with people and hearing about their personal journeys. Fellowship and community are two of Eric's passions within the church body and he is stoked to join the Timberwood family. When Eric is not working he cherishes the time that he gets to spend camping, adventuring, and living life with his wife and two kids.
John Just
John is delighted to be serving as Pastor of Timberwood Church. He is a teacher who loves encouraging others... a people person... an avid student of the Bible. He started our his career as a "numbers guy", attending the University of MN, Duluth, 1986-1990, where he earned a Bachelors of Accounting. He earned his CPA certificate in 1992. That's when a long-held passion for ministry took him to Bethel Seminary where he studied from 1993 to 1996 and earned a Masters of Divinity. He has served as Intern & Junior High Program Associate at Wooddale Church, Eden Prairie, MN and in Finance and Adult Ministries at Friendship Church, Prior Lake, MN. He is married to Tanya and has two wonderful children.
Tom Wiegand
Tom has served as pastor of Spiritual Formation and Discipleship at Timberwood Church since 2006. He loves being a part of God's work and watching people grow in their relationship wth Jesus Christ. Tom spent 22 years in the corporate business work and has a finance degree from San Diego State. As part of his move to ministry, Tom attended Moody Bible Institute and has completed the course work for a Masters of Divinity degree at Bethel Seminary. He is married to Amy and has three children. He enjoys reading, running, and sailing.
