• John just

John is delighted to be serving as Pastor of Timberwood Church. He is a teacher who loves encouraging others… a people person… an avid student of the Bible. He started out his career as a “numbers guy,” attending the University of MN, Duluth, 1986-1990, where he earned a Bachelors of Accounting. He earned his CPA certificate in 1992. That’s when a passion for ministry took him to Bethel Theological Seminary where he studied from 1993 to 1996 and earned a Masters of Divinity.

John worked at Wooddale Church, Eden Prairie, MN and Friendship Church, Prior Lake, MN, before he was invited to be a part of Timberwood Church were he has served since 2004. He graduated with a Doctorate of Ministry at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 2013; his thesis is entitled, “Creating a Biblical Vision for Timberwood Church.” He is married to Tanya and they have two children.
